About Functional Phix
At Functional Phix, the Occupational Therapist works across both clinic and community settings, delivering client-centred services to a diverse caseload including NDIS participants, older adults receiving aged care support, and paediatric clients. The role involves completing comprehensive functional assessments, identifying environmental barriers, and implementing tailored interventions to support independence, safety, and participation in meaningful activities. In the clinic, the OT may focus on assessment, goal setting, and targeted therapy, while community-based work includes home visits, equipment prescription, and real-world functional training within the client’s natural environment.
The OT collaborates closely with families, support workers, and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care, and provides education and recommendations that align with each client’s goals, funding requirements, and daily living needs.
