Groundbreaking Mining Solutions (GMS) supports clients in the drill and HME space from our Forrestdale workshop and on site across WA.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for an Operations Manager to help us deliver that growth.

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll own our operations, project and field work from the workshop through to site, make sure it’s done safely, on time and to our high standards.

You won’t be doing it on your own. You’ll be part of a team-oriented team where everyone pulls in the same direction to plan the work, line up the right people and deliver on what we promise.

Regular travel will be required as directed by client needs, project execution and work sourcing.

What you’ll be doing

- Building and leading our field and projects team

- Running projects and overhauls safely from start to finish

- Setting up simple, workable processes and tracking to deliver works to safety, quality and financial metrics

- Managing the people and resources each job needs

- Building a pipeline of new work with clients and working with the wider team to lock in new opportunities

- Taking responsibility for quality on every job





- Managing field maintenance, mobile maintenance, site-based operations and contracts

About you

- A trade certificate or engineering qualification

- Experience in a similar operations or project role in a similar industry (drill maintenance and HME experience preferred)

- Experience leading a team and getting the best out of them
- A self-starter who’s happy to get hands-on and lead by example

- Proactive when it comes to finding new work and better ways of doing things
- A good communicator who works well with workshop, office and site teams

- Comfortable with regular travel to remote sites
- A current, valid driver’s licence (mandatory)
