To be considered for this position, you will ideally possess:

· Previous experience in medical administration, preferably in a specialist medical practice.

· An understanding of the workings of a medical practice including Medicare, Health Funds, DVA and workers compensation.

· Experience with surgery bookings or hospital admissions highly regarded.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.

· Professional telephone manner and a patient-focused approach.

· An empathetic, caring attitude towards patients.

· A positive, can-do attitude.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Discretion and a thorough understanding of patient confidentiality.

Thorough on-the-job training will be provided and above Award pay afforded to the right candidate, dependent upon previous experience and knowledge.
