Citywide Plumbing Drainage

Windsor

About us

Citywide Commercial Services is the commercial maintenance arm of Citywide Plumbing & Drainage, a Victorian business with about 14 years in the industry. We look after healthcare facilities, shopping centres, commercial property and infrastructure assets across Australia.

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Site Maintenance Officer to be our on-site presence at a private healthcare facility in Windsor, Brisbane.

The role

This is a part-time position of 24 hours per week. We’re open on which days you work: we’ll agree a set of days with the successful applicant, and those days will then stay the same each week so the site has a consistent, reliable maintenance presence. You’ll be the site’s go-to maintenance person and will keep the facility safe, tidy and well presented for staff, patients and visitors.

A site vehicle is provided for work use during your shifts. The vehicle stays at the site and can’t be taken home or used privately.

Key duties

- Day-to-day general maintenance and minor repairs

- Tightening and adjusting door handles, hinges, closers and fittings

- Plaster patching and repairs

- Painting touch-ups

- Coordinating trades and contractors on site, including access, supervision and sign-off

- Completing compliance audits using our phone app

- Logging maintenance items and defects through the app, with photos and notes

- General minor gardening and grounds upkeep

- Moving furniture and setting up rooms

- Assembling and installing flat-pack furniture

- Work-related errands in the site vehicle,

such as collecting materials and supplies

- Reporting issues and keeping the Citywide office up to date

About you

- Practical handyman or maintenance experience (commercial, healthcare or facilities experience is a bonus)

- Good with your hands across a range of minor trade tasks

- Comfortable using a smartphone and apps to complete audits and logs

- Organised, reliable and able to work on your own

- Able to commit to the same days each week

- Qualified and courteous, and comfortable working around patients, staff and the public in a healthcare setting

- Good communication skills for dealing with site staff and contractors

Requirements

- Current, unrestricted driver’s licence

- Own reliable transport to and from the Windsor site

- Construction Induction (White Card)

- Able to pass a National Police Check

- Own basic hand tools (preferred)

- Australian work rights

What we offer

- $35-40 per hour plus superannuation depending on experience

- Steady part-time hours (24 per week) on regular days agreed with you

- Single site in Windsor, so no traveling between jobs

- Site vehicle supplied for work use during shifts (stays on site)

- Supportive office team and explicit systems

- Varied work, with no two days the same

- Opportunity for more hours as our Queensland work grows

How to apply

Click Apply to submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your maintenance experience. Please include which days of the week you’d prefer to work.

Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
