TAH Northern Trading is seeking a motivated and reliable Picker/Driver to join our dynamic warehouse and logistics team in Winnellie, NT. This is a full time position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment. You will play a crucial role in our operations, combining picking/delivery driving duties to ensure efficient order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
This role is essential to maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our distribution network.
What you'll be doing
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently from warehouse stock in accordance with picking lists and customer requirements
- Operating warehouse equipment including fork lifts and other materials, handling equipment safely and responsibly
- Loading goods onto delivery vehicles in an organised and secure manner to prevent damage during transit
- Driving delivery vehicles to customer locations on designated routes within the local area
- Delivering goods to customers and obtaining necessary signatures and documentation
- Maintaining accurate records of picked items, deliveries and returns
- Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues or defects
- Adhering to all health and safety protocols and warehouse procedures
- Contributing to a clean and organised warehouse environment through regular tidying and stock management
- Communicating effectively with team members and management regarding order status and any issues encountered
What we're looking for
- A current, valid MR or HR licence appropriate for the types of vehicles used in our fleet
- A current, valid Forklift licence
- Previous experience in warehouse picking, packing or distribution roles
- Experience driving delivery vehicles and familiarity with local area routes (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick and pack orders with minimal errors
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling tasks throughout the day
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and meet daily productivity targets
- Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining consistent attendance
- A proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support team objectives
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background checks where required
