Pipe Fitters & Pipe Welders – FIFO 2:1 – Major WA Project

Korcelta is a Perth-based SMP construction and site support contractor. We supply piping, mechanical and structural crews to major resources projects across Western Australia – and we run those crews with our own site supervision. We are currently seeking experienced Pipe Fitters and TIG Welders for one of WA's major resources projects.

You will be part of a Korcelta piping crew installing stainless steel and duplex process pipework on a live construction site.

Pipe Fitters

- Fit up and install pipe spools, flanges, valves and supports from isometrics and P&IDs;
- Flange management, alignment and bolt torquing
- Prepare and fit up joints for welding
- Support hydrotesting, punch lists and handover to pre-commissioning

TIG Welders

- TIG weld stainless steel and duplex pipework to project specification and WPS, including purging and interpass control
- Work with pipe fitters on fit-up, tacking and weld sequencing
- Maintain weld quality to meet NDT requirements

Both roles work alongside riggers, boilermakers and mechanical fitters as part of an SMP crew, and follow site safety procedures, pre-starts, JHAs and permit systems.

What you need





- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent Australian-recognised trade qualification)
- SMP construction experience on mining, oil & gas or resources projects
- Confident reading isometrics and P&IDs;, able to work with minimal supervision
- Current tickets: White Card, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights and EWP
- Current driver's licence
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
- Full Australian working rights

Welders – in addition to the above

- Able to pass a 6G TIG weld test on stainless steel and duplex pipe – this is essential
