Who Are We:
Oolio | Bepoz is Australia’s leading Point-of-Sale (POS), payments and business management software supplier, for the hospitality industry, with offices across Australia, the U.K, U.S.A and New Zealand. We are looking for a technically minded, customer focused individual to join our team as a Field Technician. This is a hands-on field role. You will be on the road across Sydney metro and regional NSW installing and servicing POS hardware at customer venues, from initial setup through to break-fix callouts when something goes wrong mid-service.
Our Field
Technicians are the face of Bepoz in the venues we support. The work you do determines whether a busy service runs or stalls, and our customers feel that difference with every shift. You will report to the Field Services Team Lead, and work alongside a team that spans support, project delivery, and customer success. The role is autonomous by design. We trust you to manage your day and bring your expertise to every site.
What You Will Be Doing.
Installation & Deployment;
- Install, configure and commission POS hardware at recent and existing venues.
- Configure software settings and peripherals, to match what each venue actually needs.
- Do a site readiness check before you rock up with the hardware.
- Hand over to venue staff on the day and make sure they know how to use what you have installed.
- Get to site and sort hardware faults on POS terminals, printers, cash drawers, scanners, and EFTPOS devices.
- Carry out preventative maintenance visits while you're in the area.
- When it's a software or infrastructure issue beyond your scope, document it properly, escalate it, and advise the customer.
- Leave the site in better shape, technically and relationship-wise, than you found it
Admin & Reporting;
- Log everything: faults, resolutions, site photos, sign-off
- Keep your van stock in order. Running out of spare parts in the field is avoidable
- Coordinate your schedule with the Team Lead without needing to be chased
What We're Looking For. You Will Need To Have;
- Solid hands-on experience with POS hardware installation and break-fix (Bepoz experience is a real plus)
- Confidence with EFTPOS terminals: installation, configuration, the works
- Practical networking skills: TCP/IP, switching, and the ability to run and terminate cabling in a live venue.
- Enough comfort with software configuration and system settings to not be fazed by a new setup
- A professional manner with customers, whether you're talking to a venue manager or their IT team
- A current Australian driver's licence and able to travel within NSW and interstate.
Bonus points for:
- Worked in the hospitality industry. You'll understand why uptime matters on a Friday night.
- Genuine availability for after-hours and weekend callouts.
What we offer:
- City edge office convenience: Work from a centrally located and easily accessible office, with free onsite parking.
- Competitive Compensation and inclusions: A salary package, including a phone, laptop and a car allowance or a fully maintained comapnay car; plus eligibility to be a part of our performance bonus program after the completion of the six probationary period.
- Level up your career: Access mentoring, training, and multiple career paths to grow within the company.
- Explore new horizons: Opportunities to travel to exciting venues across the country.
This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to join a passionate team, to continuously learn and grow your skills, and to be a part of company with ambitious goals. Send us your resume and tell us why you're the tech hero we've been searching for! Please Note: This is a full time, permanent role.
Bepoz welcomes everyone to apply, we value diversity, it is an important part of our company culture. Diversity and inclusion contribute to make us stronger and more empowered.
