- Lead financial accounting operations, including general ledger management and month-end processes.

/n

- Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and government policies.

/n

- Provide expert technical accounting advice, financial analysis and reporting to support informed decision-making.

/n

- Lead asset accounting activities, including valuations, impairment assessments, stocktakes and asset register management.

/n

- Develop and enhance financial policies, procedures and internal control frameworks.

- Manage financial accounting projects and drive process improvements to strengthen operational efficiency.

- Build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, auditors and external service providers.

- Lead, mentor and develop finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

/n /n /n About You /n You are an accomplished financial accounting professional with demonstrated experience leading complex financial operations and delivering high-quality outcomes in a large, multifaceted organisation. /n You combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. /n To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate: /n /n

- Extensive experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and financial management within a complex organisational environment.

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial governance, compliance and internal controls.

/n

- Proven experience managing financial reporting processes, general ledger operations and asset accounting.

/n

- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to develop high-performing teams and successfully implement change.

/n

- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills,



with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement.

/n

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical advice.

- Experience working within government or similarly regulated environments will be highly regarded.

/n

- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or commerce, together with CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualifications, are desirable.
