About the role

Lead the Australian processing team to deliver accurate, on-time shelf-ready services for schools and early learning centres. This is a hands-on lead role: you process alongside the team, plan the workflow, check quality and keep the team on target as shelf-ready volume grows.

Key responsibilities

- Allocate daily work and train, coach and support processors and casuals
- Give input to rosters and casual call-ins, and run the processing part of daily updates
- Raise performance concerns with the Warehouse Manager
- Plan processing so priority orders, new shelf-ready schools and large accounts are fast-tracked
- Plan ahead for month-end and financial year-end peaks
- Process items to each customer's specification, including covering, barcoding, spine labels and RFID where required
- Check work against customer specifications
- Keep processing standards and work instructions current, working with the Processing Manager
- Track output and accuracy against targets and share statistics with the Processing Manager
- Keep processing supplies stocked, ordering through the Processing Manager as needed
- Find ways to remove manual steps and improve speed and accuracy, including better use of systems and AI tools
- Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times




- Manage repetitive-task and ergonomic risks through task rotation and good workstation set-up
- Report accidents, injuries, near misses and hazards
- Support inbound, outbound or photography at peak times
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested from time to time

About you

- Lives on or near the Northern Beaches, with an easy commute to North Manly
- Book processing or shelf-ready experience, or similar precise production work
- Experience leading or coordinating a small team
- Solid attention to detail
- Confident computer and system skills
- School or library processing standards (good to have)
- Experience planning work against targets (good to have)
- Leads by example and can do the doing
- Exceptionally accurate and organised
- Plans ahead and balances quality with speed
- Clear, encouraging communicator
- Comfortable having honest conversations and raising problems early
