We've been proudly bringing joy to tables and smiles to faces with the delicious food we've been crafting for over 100 years.

A large part of our strong growth and success is because we're always looking for new ways to do things and thinking about how we can create a better, more sustainable future world together.

Our success as an industry leader in providing deliciously good food means we can continue to invest in our future as we work towards becoming Australia and New Zealand's first choice for poultry.

Your opportunity to join our team:

Our Further Processing Plant in Edinburgh Parks has an opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join the afternoon shift team. In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the protected, efficient, and quality-focused delivery of production operations across cooking, mixing, packing, cartoning, and related areas.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience leading teams in a food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment. You’ll provide direct leadership to leading hands and operators, partnering with maintenance, quality, and HR to drive consistent results and a strong team culture.

Your ability to lead, develop, and inspire people will be critical to the success of the shift and the site overall.

Hours of Work

Afternoon shift roster, Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30pm. Some weekend work may be required.

Please note: this role involves work in temperature-controlled environments.

What you’ll do:

- Lead and develop your team through coaching, delegation, and recognition, building the capability to consistently meet shift targets.

- Supervise production operations across all afternoon shift areas, ensuring output, quality, and schedule targets are met.
- Monitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions promptly when performance deviates from plan.
- Drive a strong safety culture by identifying hazards, resolving food safety and quality issues, and ensuring compliance with all WHS and environmental requirements.
- Partner with maintenance to coordinate planned and reactive work, minimising downtime and disruption to production flow.
- Collaborate with the cleaning team to ensure scheduled cleans are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Implement strategies to manage labour costs, reduce staff turnover, and maintain a productive and engaged workforce.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives on shift, identifying waste and inefficiencies and implementing solutions using CI tools and frameworks.
- Communicate clearly across all levels of the business, including shift handover, toolbox talks, and escalation to the Production Manager as required.

What you’ll bring:

- Proven experience leading and engaging production teams in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong coaching and performance management skills.

You give direct, constructive feedback and follow through.
- A genuine passion for continuous improvement, with experience applying CI tools and frameworks (formal qualifications well regarded).
- Solid analytical ability. You can read production data, spot trends, and translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally and build effective relationships at all levels.
- Decisive and composed under pressure, comfortable working in a rapid-paced, energetic environment.
- Flexible and available for weekend work when production requirements demand it.

What we’ll offer you:

- On-the-job training and support to set you up for success.
- Access to Fitness Passport that gives you affordable access to gyms, pools and fitness facilities nationwide.
- Employee benefits including product discounts and travel discounts.
- Genuine opportunities to develop your career, supported by our performance and succession programs.
- The health, safety, and wellbeing of our people is our highest priority.
- ASX-listed company with operations across Australia and New Zealand.

We’re looking for people who are curious, caring, courageous and committed to join us. People who want to contribute their best work every single day and continue delivering delicious food that’s… Always Good.

Inghams values diverse experiences. If your skills align with some but not all of the listed requirements, we encourage you to still apply and explore the opportunity to join our team.
