Sydney | Hybrid working | $1,200 + super per day | Contract to April 2027

This is a large-scale initiative involving multiple workstreams, senior stakeholders and external partners, with the broader programme expected to continue into mid-2027.
Your new role
As Senior Program Manager, you will provide programme-level oversight across a complex M&A; initiative, bringing together multiple workstreams and ensuring senior leadership has a clear view of progress, risk, dependencies and key decisions.

- Providing oversight across multiple interconnected workstreams
- Managing expectations across senior leadership, Steering Committees and vendor partners
- Consolidating programme risks, dependencies, decisions and progress updates
- Translating complex delivery information into clear executive-level reporting
- Using live dashboards and programme data to communicate programme health
- Supporting programme strategy and key decision-making
- Maintaining effective, lightweight programme governance
- Ensuring senior stakeholders have an accurate and consistent view of delivery
What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced Senior Program Manager with a strong background operating across large and complex programmes.
You will ideally bring
- Robust Program Management and PMO leadership experience
- Demonstrated M&A; programme experience
- Experience reporting into Steering Committees and senior executives
- Strong governance, risk, dependency and decision management capability
- Excellent senior stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Experience orchestrating multiple workstreams within large programmes
- The ability to distil complex information into concise executive-level reporting
- Financial services or retail banking experience, highly regarded
- Home lending, mortgages or related financial product experience, advantageous
Previous experience within the organisation is beneficial but not essential. The priority is strong programme-level leadership and M&A; experience rather than detailed knowledge of internal systems. What you'll get in return
- Initial contract through to 30 April 2027 , with potential extension
- Sydney-based role with 50% office attendance
- Opportunity to work on a significant M&A; programme
- Exposure to senior leadership across a large financial services environment
- Programme team expected to scale from approximately 50 to 80–100 people
