About the role

Following an exciting internal promotion, we’re looking for our next Project Delivery Manager to step into this established leadership role and continue building on a strong foundation. As our Project Delivery Manager, you’ll lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of complex power, electrical and infrastructure projects across Australia.

Reporting to the PMO Director and leading a team of Project Managers, you’ll provide senior oversight from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and in line with contractual, technical, quality, cost and schedule requirements. The role has direct leadership responsibility for Project Managers and a robust focus on commercial performance, project risk and delivery outcomes.

This is a hands-on delivery leadership role for someone who can see the bigger picture while remaining close enough to the detail to identify risks, remove roadblocks and guide teams through complex project challenges.

You’ll also have an important voice before projects reach delivery, contributing to tender reviews, delivery strategies, project programs, resourcing plans and bid decisions. It’s an opportunity to connect what we promise at bid stage with how we successfully deliver in the real world.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to!):

- Lead the delivery of complex power and infrastructure projects
- Lead, coach and support a team of Project Managers
- Drive project performance across safety, quality, cost and schedule
- Manage project risks, forecasts, budgets and commercial outcomes
- Provide senior oversight of contracts, claims and variations
- Build robust relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders
- Support tenders, delivery strategies and project resourcing
- Drive consistent project governance and continuous improvement

What you'll bring

We’re looking for an experienced project delivery leader who combines technical understanding, commercial judgement and strong people leadership. You’ll be comfortable operating across multiple complex projects, providing direction at a portfolio level while stepping into critical delivery issues when senior leadership is required.

Required

- 10+ years’ experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Strong leadership experience across project delivery teams
- Background in power, energy, electrical, industrial or infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial, contractual and financial capability
- Experience managing project budgets, programs, risks and contracts




- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills
- Experience administering major projects valued between $50M and $150M+

Highly regarded
- 10+ years’ experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Strong leadership experience across project delivery teams
- Background in power, energy, electrical, industrial or infrastructure projects
- Solid commercial, contractual and financial capability
- Experience managing project budgets, programs, risks and contracts
