Construction Project Manager – North Queensland

Townsville, QLD | Full-Time | Attractive Salary Package + Performance Bonus

Based in Townsville, or currently in Brisbane / Sunshine Coast and ready to relocate

This Isn’t a Standard Project Management Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager who wants ownership, and the chance to help build something.

Plexxcon is growing its North Queensland office, and we need a Project Manager who will lead projects in the region and play a key part in establishing our presence, relationships and reputation in Townsville and beyond.

Someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys building strong relationships, makes decisions with confidence, and treats every project as if it were their own business.

At Plexxcon, you’ll have the autonomy to lead projects your way, backed by the systems, support, and team you need to succeed.

We deliver complex construction projects ranging from $250K to $15M across Queensland, working within live operational environments including hospitals, universities, schools, retail centres, sports clubs, industrial facilities, and high-end commercial spaces.

Our clients don’t stop operating while we build.

That means communication matters. Planning matters. Relationships matter. Every decision has an impact.

Help Grow Our North Queensland Office

This role is about more than delivering projects. You’ll be one of the key people shaping how Plexxcon operates in North Queensland.

That means building relationships with local clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers, winning repeat work, and helping grow the team as the office expands. As NQ grows, so does the opportunity for the people who helped build it.

Already in Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast?

If you’re based in South East Queensland and have been thinking about a move north, this is the opportunity. You’ll have the backing of our established SEQ team and leadership while you set up in Townsville, and we’ll work with you on timing that makes the move practical.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a Project Manager who:

✓ Has successfully delivered commercial construction projects from commencement through to completion

✓ Can demonstrate outcomes, not just project names on a resume

✓ Thrives on accountability and takes ownership of project performance

✓ Has experience managing projects within live operational environments

✓ Builds strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams

✓ Understands budgets, programmes, procurement, risk management, and commercial outcomes

✓ Communicates clearly, solves problems proactively, and leads by example

✓ Is based in Townsville, or is ready to relocate there in the near future

✓ Wants to help grow a regional office, not just fill a seat in one

✓ Local North Queensland industry networks are highly regarded
