Our Dams Safety NSW team is currently seeking expressions of interest from internal employees to appoint a Project Officer Education to support the delivery of education initiatives that improve compliance and understanding of dam safety regulatory requirements across New South Wales and contribute to the protection of the community, environment and infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the important work of Dams Safety NSW, developing and delivering regulatory education projects for dam owners and industry stakeholders. Working within a cooperative and high-performing team, you will help to design and deliver education initiatives, conduct research and analysis, engage with a broad range of stakeholders online and face-to-face, and contribute to initiatives that promote safe dam management practices across the state. The role also offers exposure to regulatory compliance activities, including audits and continuous improvement programs.

Prior experience with dams and dam safety regulations, while desirable, is not essential.

About You

- Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering projects, including planning, monitoring, reporting and achieving outcomes within agreed timeframes, ideally within an educational context.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
- Experience undertaking research, analysis and problem-solving to identify issues and develop practical recommendations (desirable).
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality outcomes.




- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare project documentation, newsletter articles and web text and stakeholder correspondence.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly gain knowledge of, regulatory education programs and the dam safety legislative framework in NSW.
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, customer service, accountability and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
