Lead your own crew. Build roads that matter. Join a Territory family business that’s been doing it for 41 years.
At DAC you’ll run your own site on some of the best road projects in the Territory, backed by a company that keeps its people working year-round and gives its supervisors the authority to make decisions on site.
Who we are
DAC is Territory-owned and has been building NT roads since 1985. We do things differently. We’re known for the quality of our work and for looking after our crews. In 2026 we took out two CCF NT Earth Awards for our Victoria Highway projects, and we’re proud of every kilometre.
Our work covers highway rehabilitation, road upgrades, gravel re-sheets, intersections, culverts and flood repair. It takes us from Kakadu to the Barkly. If you like real civil work in real country, this is it.
Life at DAC
We’ve been a Territory family business for 41 years, and we’ve kept that family feel. Some of our crew have been with us for over 25 years, and that tells you most of what you need to know.
We make time to get together away from site. This year alone the crew has been to the CCF Earth Awards night, our Territory Day Fire Cracker night and a crew golf day, with BBQs, family days and plenty more on the way. Working with us can take you to experiences you may never have had before, both on the job and off it.
We celebrate positive work in our monthly crew newsletter. When you raise something, you’ll hear back about what we’ve done about it. We keep our crew working through the wet, we back our supervisors, and we build careers, not just roads.
The role
As a Project Supervisor you’re the leader on site. You’ll run your crew of operators, labourers and subcontractors,
plan the work, set the standard and deliver it. You’ll report to our Civil Delivery Manager, who backs your decisions instead of second-guessing them.
What you’ll be doing
- Running your site day to day: safety, crew, plant and program
- Planning ahead so you’ve got the right people and machines at the right time
- Setting out with GPS and lasers and building it right the first time
- Managing subcontractors and holding them to DAC’s standard
- Keeping your daily records tight in Dashpivot (it’s quick, it’s on your iPad, and it protects you)
- Building a crew people want to work in
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years supervising civil construction or earthworks, ideally roads
- You can read plans and specs and turn them into a plan for the day
- You lead from the front, train your people, and don’t walk past a problem
- Safety and quality aren’t boxes you tick, they’re how you work
- You’re happy working remote on a swing roster
- White Card and current driver licence
What’s in it for you
- Year-round work. We keep our core crew on through the wet.
- 3 weeks on / 1 week off roster
- Camp and meals covered on remote sites
- Your own work car, phone, laptop and iPad
- Real authority. Clear decision rights and spend limits, so you can run your site
- Training and courses to keep moving your career forward
- A crew that has your back, and a culture we’re serious about
