About the role

Liza's Place is seeking a passionate Psychologist to join our team in East Toowoomba, QLD. As a psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, evidence-based trauma-focused and attachment-informed psychological services to children, adolescents, young adults and their families, helping them overcome various mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being. Provisional psychologists are encouraged to apply.

What you'll be doing

1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
2. Provide individual, dyadic and group therapy sessions using a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, EMDR, as well as play and attachment-based interventions
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, while adhering to professional and ethical standards
5. Participate in ongoing professional development, including internal training and supervision, to stay informed of the latest evidence-based practices in the field of psychology
6. Contribute to the growth and development of Liza's Place by providing feedback and suggestions for service improvements

What we're looking for

1. General, Clinical or Provisional Psychologist, with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2.



Experience or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide empathetic and compassionate care to clients
4. Strong clinical skills, including the ability to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and evaluate client progress
5. Demonstrated experience in providing therapy using a range of modalities, with a strong interest in trauma-based models
6. Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed client records, while adhering to professional and ethical standards
7. Willingness to actively engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the growth and development of the practice
