Pump Installation Supervisor | Pump Fitter / Diesel Mechanic
Big pumps. Live jobs. Real problems to solve. Two opportunities in Adelaide. If you like work that gets you out of the office and into the action, take a look. We’re recruiting for two hands-on roles with a growing pumps operation in Burton: lead pump installations on customer sites, or keep the pump fleet ready for its next job.
This is equipment people rely on to keep excavations dry and essential sewer and infrastructure work moving. When a system needs to run, your know-how makes the difference.
Take charge on site
Pump Installation Supervisor
Lead crews installing and supporting sewer bypass and dewatering systems across South Australia. You’ll coordinate the gear, get the setup running and stay close to the job when customers need support.
You’ll be:
- Leading crews through pump installations and site work
- Setting up pumps, hoses, pipework, suction and discharge lines
- Coordinating equipment, mobilisation and demobilisation
- Working directly with site supervisors, project managers and customers
- Troubleshooting systems on live jobs and responding to call-outs
- Working with wellpoint systems, remote monitoring and water treatment equipment
You’ll bring:
- Hands-on sewer bypass or dewatering installation experience
- Experience leading a crew, as a supervisor or leading hand
- A mechanical trade qualification or substantial pump-industry experience
- Confidence dealing with customers on site
- Adelaide residency or a genuine plan to relocate
- A current driver’s licence; HR is highly regarded
Wellpoint, telemetry and water-treatment experience will stand out. Confined-space, working-at-heights and other high-risk tickets are also valued.
Get the fleet back out there
Pump Fitter / Diesel Mechanic
A pump rolls back into the yard. You service it, find the fault, fix it and get it ready for the next hire. When equipment breaks down on a live customer site,
you’re the person who gets stuck in and works out what’s wrong.
You’ll be:
- Servicing and testing pumps between hires
- Maintaining and fault-finding diesel engines, including fuel, starting and charging systems
- Repairing seals, bearings, impellers, wear rings and priming systems
- Attending customer sites to diagnose and fix breakdowns
- Working with controllers, auto-start panels and related equipment
- Helping out across other rental equipment when needed
You’ll bring:
- A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter with robust diesel experience
- Experience with fixed and mobile diesel equipment
- Pump servicing and repair experience in hire, mining, water or industrial settings
- The confidence to fault-find independently in the workshop and on customer sites
- Adelaide residency or a genuine plan to relocate
- A current driver’s licence; MR or HR is an advantage
Dewatering or sewage pump knowledge, electrical awareness and availability for on-call work will be well regarded. Strong fitters can also grow toward pump installation supervision.
Good gear. Big jobs. Room to grow.
- Get variety across workshop, field and customer-site work
- Work with a broad pump fleet and an established equipment hire operation
- Take on real projects across civil construction, utilities and infrastructure
- Join a growing Adelaide team and build your technical or leadership skills
