We are looking for quality, competent painters to join our team on recent commercial projects, mostly in Brisbane and the southern Brisbane suburbs, with occasional work on the Gold Coast. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, and overtime depending on the project program. All of our projects are non-EBA. Permanent positions are offered to suitable candidates only.
What you'll do
- Work as part of a team on a variety of commercial projects across Brisbane
- Apply all products competently
- Work in a team or on your own without supervision where necessary
- Follow directions from your foreperson
- Manage your own surrounds and keep your work area clean and tidy (a must)
- Take pride in your finished work (a must)
About you
- Cert III or trade qualifications in painting (brush hands are welcome to apply)
- At least 4 years' painting experience
- Current White Card
- A reliable motor vehicle and a current driver's licence
- Your own general tools
- Your own safety equipment: hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses and vest
- Able to speak and understand English
- An EWP licence or a boom licence for over 11m is advantageous
Pay and benefits
- Hourly rate of $38 to $48, depending on experience
- Paid weekly, PAYG
- Overtime available, subject to the project program
- Encouragement and a pathway to promotion to leading hand, foreperson or supervisor
