Rudd's Panel Works | Caboolture | Full time | You are the last set of eyes on every car before it goes back to its owner. We are looking for an experienced paint and panel tradesperson to inspect completed repairs, fix what isn't right, and make sure each vehicle leaves the shop to standard.
What you'll do
- Inspect every completed repair against the quote, insurer authority and shop standards
- Check paint finish, colour match, orange peel, runs, dust and overspray
- Check panel gaps, alignment, trim fit, and that lights, sensors and electrics work
- Carry out QC repairs: denibbing, cutting and polishing, touch-ups, minor panel adjustments and refitting
- Send larger faults back to the right technician with clear feedback
- Road test vehicles where needed and confirm they are clean and ready for delivery
- Record QC results and photos in the job file
- Help spot repeat faults so they are fixed at the source
What we're looking for
- Trade qualification in panel beating or vehicle painting, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 2+ years in a collision repair shop
- A sharp eye for detail and a high personal standard of finish
- Strong cutting, polishing and paint rectification skills
- Good working knowledge of both paint and panel, even if your trade is in one
- The confidence to send work back, and the tact to do it respectfully
- Current driver's licence
QC or leading hand experience is a plus, but not essential.
