About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated Quality & WHS Coordinator to help us build products we're proud of, in a workplace where everyone goes home safe. You'll split your time between quality control and work health and safety, working closely with production staff and management.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, work in progress and finished products against specifications
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality records
- Identify, record and follow up non-conformances and customer complaints
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Help maintain our quality system, including internal audits
- Carry out workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and follow up corrective actions
- Maintain WHS records, including hazard reports,
incident registers and the chemical register and Safety Data Sheets
- Help develop and review safe work procedures and SOPs
- Run toolbox talks and support WHS inductions for new starters and contractors
About you
- Experience in a quality, WHS or production role in manufacturing
- Practical knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Confident reading drawings and specifications and using measuring tools
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Clear communicator who can work with production teams to solve problems
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or working towards it) is highly regarded
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 45001 is highly regarded
- A current first aid certificate is an advantage
