Brisbane | Client-Side Advisory Workplace An established project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Brisbane team.
Working alongside experienced industry professionals, you'll be involved in providing independent cost advice across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, education, health and mixed-use developments throughout Queensland.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to transition away from a traditional contractor environment and into a client-side advisory role, where you'll gain exposure to a broad range of projects while contributing to key commercial decisions from feasibility through to project completion.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include
- Preparing cost plans and feasibility studies
- Developing detailed estimates and pricing reviews
- Quantity take-offs and measurement
- Tender analysis and procurement support
- Value engineering and cost optimisation
- Cash flow forecasting and cost reporting
- Variations assessment and commercial advice
- Benchmarking and market cost analysis
- Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
About You To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Degree qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Planner or Contract Administrator
- Strong understanding of construction costs and procurement processes
- Experience preparing estimates, cost plans and commercial reports
- High-level Excel skills and strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Exposure to commercial, residential, health, education or infrastructure projects
