This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join one of Australia's leading independent quantity surveying and property consultancies. Based in Brisbane CBD and supported by offices nationwide, the business has built a solid reputation for delivering high-quality cost management and commercial advice across some of the country's most iconic projects.

With over 100 staff nationally, you will join a team of 15 Quantity Surveyor's in Brisbane. The consultancy is structured around specialist sectors including health, education, residential and commercial. This structure allows consultants to develop genuine sector expertise while still being exposed to a broad variety of project types.

The business also has heavy involvement in expert witness work and construction law, which provides a unique opportunity for QSs who want to build a well-rounded, commercially sharp career.

There is a clear progression path, strong internal mentoring, and the business actively supports staff through their AIQS and RICS accreditations via structured internal programs. Many of their team members are MAIQS and/or MRICS qualified, and working towards these accreditations is viewed very positively.

The Role

This role suits a QS with a genuine mix of pre and post contract experience, who is ready to take ownership of projects and step up within an established consultancy. You'll be exposed to a broad project portfolio including residential (high density and medium density), health, education, commercial, hospitality, retirement living and integrated workplace fit-out.





Key responsibilities will include

- Pre-contract: feasibility studies, cost planning and estimating from concept through to tender stage, value engineering workshops, bills of quantities, escalation and market analysis, and risk strategy
- Procurement & tendering: advising on procurement and contract selection, tender documentation, tender evaluations and negotiations, ECI and VECI procurement models
- Post-contract: contract administration, progress claim assessments, variation and change order valuations, cost-to-complete reporting, financier reporting, and final account negotiation
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, design teams, and contractors
- Contributing to the mentoring and development of junior staff within your HUB

About You The successful candidate will have the following:

- Minimum 3 years' Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environment (Brisbane experience highly regarded)
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience across both pre and post contract work
- Solid contractual knowledge – exposure to AS contracts, GC21, and/or bespoke forms
- Strong cost planning,



measurement, and estimating fundamentals
- Confident client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Working towards (or holding) MAIQS, MRICS, or NZIQS accreditation is advantageous but not essential
- A positive, solutions-focused attitude with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Australian citizen or full working working rights in Australia
