Greyhound racing is an exciting career, pastime and interest for thousands of people across the nation. Greyhound Racing SA Limited (GRSA) is the controlling body for the sport in South Australia. From our headquarters at Angle Park, we conduct, regulate and promote greyhound racing, with a focus on responsible and ethical participation and the effective enforcement of local and national rules. GRSA operates four tracks - Angle Park, Gawler, Mount Gambier and Murray Bridge - which host more than 400 race meetings each year, including a calendar of feature events.

About the Role:

We’re looking for motivated, energetic people with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail and a willingness to learn. The integrity of greyhound racing is vital to GRSA. We’re seeking either an experienced, integrity-focused Steward or a passionate Assistant Steward who is eager to learn and develop into a Steward role through training. You’ll support the fair, transparent and effective conduct of racing and related procedures across South Australia.

The role is based at our Angle Park headquarters and may involve travel to other greyhound racetracks in South Australia and interstate. Work is rostered and includes morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities include:





- Apply GRSA’s Rules of Racing and relevant guidelines when dealing with industry participants.
- Contribute to stewarding operations and the effective, accurate delivery of race day functions.
- Conduct thorough pre-race track inspections.
- Investigate race day incidents and conduct out-of-competition testing.
- Assist with the accurate and timely preparation of Stewards’ reports.
- Support integrity and welfare functions.
- Respond to enquiries from registered persons.

About you:

You’ll bring a strong work ethic, sound judgement and a genuine willingness to learn. To be considered, you’ll also have:

- Experience in wagering, racing, sport or a similar industry (desirable).
- The ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Explicit oral and written communication skills.
- Sound computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A current Police clearance issued within the last three months.
- A valid Australian driver’s licence.
- The medical and physical fitness needed to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
