Well, no need to imagine, because Atlantis Fisheries Consulting Group is on the hunt for a part-time Research Assistant to support the growth of an exciting recent project.

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a love for foodie hot-spots like Sydney Fish Market? Atlantis FCG is looking for motivated individuals to collect price samples of key Australian seafood species from key retail locations across Sydney. It's a low commitment, exceptionally fun role that sees you explore the city's vibrant food scene and earn unmatchable research experience in working for an industry leader. Not to mention, we're a pretty fun bunch!

PART TIME ROLE: Minimum 2 days/week with the opportunity to work more hours, must be available Thursdays and/or Fridays.

HYBRID: On-site & WFH

ENTRY-LEVEL: No experience is required, however applicants with qualifications/studies in marine science, business, data science or commerce are encouraged.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct market research at Sydney Fish Market and surrounding key retail areas, including Maroubra, Eastgardens, Chatswood and Potts Point.
- Manage data collection from these various locations to determine monthly averages for key Australian seafood species
- Write reports on findings and develop monthly summaries for key internal and external stakeholders
- Pitch projects and lead studies on seafood retail across the city, pioneering research in a key Australian economic sector




- Explore the potential of current locations to expand project reach
- Uphold relationships and communication with key vendors and retailers
- Liaise and collaborate with the interstate team, with the opportunity to travel to Melbourne and other cities in support of research

What We're Looking For:

- A motivated individual with a solid ability to take initiative and work independently
- A keen eye for detail, as well as innovative strategies when it comes to reporting and exploring new data sources
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
- Efficiency and professionalism in the face of a growing to-do list
- A clear communicator who's people-facing, approachable and kind
- Preferred applicants will have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
