Restaurant Manager | Coastal Relocation to Forster

If you're an energetic Restaurant Manager in Sydney who's thought about getting out of the city without taking a backwards step in your career, this one is worth a look.

The Sicilian is a busy, established restaurant overlooking the stunning Forster waters, and we're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and, importantly, lead the restaurant from the floor.

The move is a big part of the opportunity.

Forster gives you the beaches, Wallis Lake and coastal lifestyle, while still being just over three and a half hours from Sydney. It's also somewhere living close to the water can still be realistic — rather than something you drive two hours to enjoy on your day off.

This is an opportunity to make the sea change while still running a serious hospitality operation.

The Role

We're looking for a genuine restaurant operator.

Someone who wants to be on the floor during service, knows what's happening at every table and is comfortable stepping in when a busy Saturday night starts moving.

You'll take ownership of the daily restaurant operation, including:

- Leading the front-of-house team through service

- Running proper pre-service briefings and setting clear expectations

- Delivering weekly training and continually developing the team

- Rostering and managing labour effectively

- Managing bookings and the flow of service

- Maintaining high standards across presentation, service and guest experience

- Building a strong, positive team culture

- Talking to customers, recognizing regulars and becoming the face of the restaurant





- Working closely with the kitchen and wider management team

We don't want a manager who disappears into the office once service starts.

We want someone who genuinely loves restaurants.

You should understand the whole operation, be confident leading a busy service and know how to create the kind of hospitality where customers feel looked after rather than simply processed.

About You

You'll already have solid restaurant management experience in a quality, high-volume environment.

You'll be confident leading experienced teams, training people properly and maintaining high service standards even when the restaurant is full.

Most importantly, you'll be naturally customer-focused. You enjoy being on the floor, talking to people and creating the atmosphere of the venue.

Salary: $100,000 + super
