We’re a busy, family-run wholesale nursery looking for an experienced and motivated Nursery Retail & Customer Experience Supervisor to lead our sales team.

If you’re great at managing people, organising workloads, solving problems, and keeping a team focused on results, this role is made for you!

You don’t need to be a horticultural expert or have extensive plant knowledge. We’re looking for someone who loves plants, enjoys working in a nursery environment, and has the management skills to keep our retail operations running smoothly.

About the Role

As Retail Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation of the nursery retail environment. You will lead and motivate a team, drive sales, maintain presentation standards and ensure customers receive knowledgeable, friendly service.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the retail nursery.

- Lead, motivate and develop a team of retail staff.

- Deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting customer relationships.

- Drive sales performance and achieve revenue targets.

- Coordinate on stock control, ordering, inventory and merchandising.

- Ensure plants, products and displays are presented to a high standard.

- Manage staff rosters, training and performance.

- Monitor budgets, sales reports and operational costs.

- Ensure workplace health and safety standards are maintained.

- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and grow the business.

About You





We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous retail management or supervisory experience.

- Has a genuine passion for plants, gardening and horticulture.

- Has excellent leadership and people management skills.

- Possesses strong communication and customer service abilities.

- Is commercially minded, organised and results-driven.

- Has experience with stock management, merchandising and sales.

- Is confident working in a hands-on retail environment.

- Can work independently while fostering a positive team culture.

- Has excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Horticultural or nursery industry experience will be highly regarded.
