Crane Operators, Riggers, MC/HR Drivers & Supervisors – FIFO Shutdowns & Projects, WA SNP Alliance is recruiting experienced lifting and crane personnel for upcoming shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and construction projects across Western Australia.

We want skilled, safety-focused people with experience in the mining, construction and resources sectors. Whether you're after regular shutdowns or you need something to fill the gap between swings, we'd love to hear from you.

Roles Available

- Intermediate Riggers (RI)
- Advanced Riggers (RA)
- Franna Operators
- Crane Operators 100T – 299T
- Crane Operators 300T
- MC / HR Drivers
- Crane / Rigging Supervisors (Section 26 holders only)

About the Roles You'll work alongside established maintenance and construction crews on lifting, rigging and installation work at major mine sites and industrial projects.

- Crane Operators (Franna, 100T – 299T, 300T )
- Operate Franna, Slew and All Terrain cranes in your capacity range
- Carry out lifts for shutdown maintenance, construction and plant installations
- Position and relocate structural, mechanical and fixed plant components
- Work closely with rigging crews to plan and complete secure, efficient lifts
- Complete pre-start inspections and follow site-specific lifting procedures

Riggers (Intermediate / Advanced)

- Carry out rigging and lifting work on shutdowns and construction projects
- Select, inspect and prepare lifting gear and rigging equipment
- Install and remove structural steel, mechanical equipment and fixed plant components
- Direct crane lifts, load positioning and equipment movement
- Follow lift plans, safe work procedures and site requirements

MC / HR Drivers

- Transport cranes, counterweights, lifting gear and equipment to and around site
- Load, restrain and unload equipment safely
- Complete vehicle pre-starts and follow site traffic management rules




- Support crane and rigging crews on site as needed

Crane / Rigging Supervisors (S26 only)

- Supervise crane and rigging crews on shutdowns and projects
- Review and sign off lift plans, JHAs and permits
- Manage crew safety, productivity and daily coordination with client supervisors
- Hold a current Section 26 appointment (essential)

What We're Looking For To be considered, you'll ideally have:

- The relevant licence for your role:
- Crane Operators: CN, C2, C6, C1 or CO
- Riggers: RI or RA
- Drivers: MC or HR licence
- Supervisors: Section 26 plus relevant crane/rigging tickets
- Experience in mining, shutdowns, maintenance or construction
- Current crane VOCs and proven operating competency where applicable
- Construction White Card
- A solid understanding of lifting operations, site safety and safe work procedures
- Flexibility to work FIFO rosters and shutdowns of varying length
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen

Highly Regarded

- Rio Tinto crane VOCs
- Previous FMG, BHP or Rio Tinto site experience
- Current site inductions, Pegasus ID or other site identification
- Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
- Gas Test Atmospheres and Basic Fire training
- Multiple crane, rigging or dogging competencies
