WA External Solutions is a Busselton-based roofing and construction business with two crews on the road — a new-roof crew and a restoration crew — working for residential, commercial and mining clients across the South West. We're hiring qualified tradespeople for both. Full-time, casual or subcontract — tell us what suits you. These are trade roles, not labouring or trainee positions.

Roof Plumber — leading hand

You'll be on the new-roof crew: metal roofing, re-roofs, gutters, downpipes and flashings on current builds and replacements. We want someone who can run the job and a small crew — set out the day, hold the standard, deal with the builder on site. If you've been a leading hand, or you're the roof plumber the boss leaves in charge, this is the step up.

- Install metal roofing, guttering, downpipes and flashings to Australian Standards

- Run the job on site: sequencing, materials, quality and safety

- Lead a crew of two to three and work alongside them

- Roof inspections and leak/rust fault-finding on repair work

Roof Tiler

You'll be on the restoration crew heading into the summer season: re-bedding and re-pointing, tile replacement, ridge capping, and prep and spray coating of tiled roofs. Tiling is the core skill — if you can also spray, tell us, it's worth more.

- Tile replacement, re-bed,

re-point and ridge capping

- Pressure cleaning, prep and coating of tiled roofs

- Leak repairs and roof maintenance

What you'll need

- Roof plumber: Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification

- Roof tiler: trade qualification, or 3+ years on the tools in tiling and restoration

- White Card, current driver's licence and reliable transport

- Working at Heights ticket (or willing to get it in your first week)

- EWP ticket an advantage

- Unrestricted Australian work rights

What we offer

- $45 – $55 per hour full-time depending on skills and tickets — top of range for a leading hand who can run the job. Casual and subcontract rates negotiated on top of this

- Steady local work across the South West, home every night, no FIFO

- Established business, two crews, work booked ahead

- Training and tickets for people who stick around
- A real path up: leading hand to supervisor as the business grows
