About Westberg

Westberg Sheetmetal is a long-established Melbourne fabricator based at Heidelberg West. We cut, fold, weld and powder coat for builders, electrical contractors, data centre projects and architectural clients, and we make our own range of aluminium window shrouds sold to builders and designers across Australia. Over the last 12 months we have invested in a recent high-powered laser with automated sheet loading, a new press brake and an in-house powder coating line, and we have a Sales Lead focused on growing the partner and project side of the business.

The role

You will be the engine room of Westberg sales. Enquiries arrive every day from builders, designers, architects and contractors, most with drawings or a spec attached. Your job is to understand the scope, price it accurately, get the quote out quickly, follow it up and convert it, then hand a clean job to design and production and keep the customer informed until it leaves the building.

You will quote and manage window shroud orders from first enquiry to delivery, estimate general fabrication work (laser cutting, folding, welding and powder coating) and support our Sales Lead on larger tenders, project packages and key accounts. It is a sales role with an estimator's eye and a coordinator's discipline. Immediate start available.

What you will do

- Respond to inbound enquiries by phone and email, qualify them and keep them moving

- Read drawings and specifications and turn them into accurate quotes using our pricing tools and your judgement on material, labour and lead time

- Quote and manage window shroud orders from first enquiry to delivery, including revisions and colour selections

- Estimate cut, fold, weld and powder coat jobs and get them reviewed where needed

- Raise work orders and brief design and production so the job is buildable first time

- Keep Pipedrive current: every quote logged, followed up,



and closed won or lost with a reason

- Support the Sales Lead on tenders, project packages and account customers

- Handle order follow-up, delivery dates and the occasional problem, calmly and quickly

- Keep lead times, pricing and quote templates current as the factory changes

About you

- Sheet metal experience is a requirement: 2+ years in internal sales, estimating or job coordination in a sheet metal or metal fabrication business, or hands-on time on the floor before moving into the office

- You understand how sheet metal is cut, folded, welded and finished, and what makes a job expensive or slow

- Confident reading engineering or architectural drawings and talking scope with a builder or site foreman

- Organised enough to run 50 live quotes without dropping one, and comfortable on the phone all day

- Clear written English; quotes and emails are a big part of the job

- Pipedrive or any CRM, ERP or quoting system experience

- SolidWorks or CAD viewing experience highly regarded, not essential

- Available to start immediately or at short notice

- Base salary of $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience, plus super and performance incentives

- On-site parking, modern facilities, standard hours 8:00am to 4:30pm
