Genetec Security Engineer | Melbourne | Full Time

About ACG

ACG Integrations designs, installs, services and maintains enterprise electronic security systems for clients in data centres, aviation, banking and government. Genetec Security Center is at the core of what we deliver.

The role

We’re looking for a Genetec engineer who can configure, troubleshoot and commission Security Center on their own. When a fault comes up that our Technicians and junior Engineers can’t close, it comes to you. Most of the work is on existing systems across service, maintenance and installation, and you’ll take on more commissioning as you show what you can do.

What you’ll do

- Configure, program and troubleshoot Security Center across Omnicast, Synergis, Sipelia, AutoVu and Mission Control, plus the hardware and third party devices connected to it
- Diagnose and fix advanced faults, remotely and on site
- Commission systems independently to an approved design, right through to handover
- Guide Technicians and junior Engineers and pass on what you learn from escalated faults

- Keep configuration records and as built documentation accurate

What you’ll bring

- Genetec Security Center certification, at least Omnicast and Synergis (or the ability to get it within an agreed timeframe)
- A proven record of servicing, configuring and commissioning enterprise access control and video platforms, and providing second level support
- Solid networking and IT infrastructure fundamentals
- A current security licence, Open Cabling Registration with structured cabling endorsement, a White Card and a driver licence
- Australian residency, with the ability to obtain or hold NV1 clearance where a site needs it

Nice to have

- OS, Server or Networking Certification or extensive knowledge
- Data centre or large enterprise system experience

Why ACG

- Work on enterprise Genetec deployments at high profile sites
- Intercompany relocations to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth
- Extensive Training Opportunities
