Previous Lead Educator experience will be highly regarded. We also welcome experienced Diploma-qualified Educators who can demonstrate the skills and professional capability required to step into a room leadership role.
WHAT MATTERS AT EVERY LEVEL
Regardless of the position you take on, we are looking for Educators who share our commitment to high-quality early learning. At Paisley Park, every Educator has a role in creating a safe, engaging and respectful environment for children. We value people who understand that everyday interactions, thoughtful decisions and consistent skilled practices make a genuine difference. Across all roles, you will be expected to:
Build meaningful relationships
Develop warm, responsive relationships with children that support their security, confidence, sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing. Recognise each child as an individual and respond respectfully to their interests, abilities, identity and needs.
Support learning through play
Recognise the value of play in children's learning and development. Contribute to experiences that encourage exploration, curiosity, imagination, communication, creativity and problem-solving.
Maintain children's safety and wellbeing
Understand that child safety is everyone's responsibility. Maintain active supervision, follow safe sleep and rest practices where relevant, uphold professional boundaries and respond promptly to risks or concerns.
Respect children's rights and agency
Support children to express their views, make appropriate choices, develop independence and participate in decisions that affect them. Respect children's dignity, privacy, bodily autonomy and individual needs.
Work collaboratively
Contribute positively to the team, communicate respectfully and recognise that consistent practices are strengthened through cooperation, shared responsibility and professional trust.
Reflect and grow
Remain open to feedback, engage in professional learning and consider how your actions and decisions influence children's experiences. We value Educators who are curious, willing to learn and committed to improving their practice.
Partner with families
Recognise families as important partners in children's early learning journey. Communicate respectfully, value family knowledge and contribute to relationships built on trust, understanding and mutual respect.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AT PAISLEY PARK
We want our Educators to feel supported in their current roles and encouraged to develop their professional capabilities. Depending on your position, experience and professional goals, you will have opportunities to participate in mentoring, collaborative planning, reflective discussions and ongoing professional learning. Our Communities of Practice Reflective Mentor Framework supports professional dialogue, the sharing of knowledge and the development of reflective practice across our services.
For Assistant Educators,
this may mean strengthening practical skills, building confidence and deepening your understanding of children's learning and development.
For Diploma-qualified Educators, it may involve extending your curriculum knowledge, strengthening intentional teaching and developing greater confidence in assessment, documentation and critical reflection.
For Lead Educators, it includes developing room leadership, mentoring colleagues, strengthening team practices and contributing to quality improvement.
We value career development that reflects individual strengths and aspirations. As Paisley Park Blakeview grows, we welcome Educators who are interested in developing their capabilities and taking on additional responsibilities when appropriate opportunities arise.

- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or another recognised ACECQA-approved qualification appropriate to the role.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and play-based learning appropriate to your qualification and experience.
- An understanding of the EYLF and the importance of responsive, intentional educational practice.
- A commitment to child safety, active supervision, respectful relationships and children's wellbeing.
- The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- A willingness to engage in reflection, feedback and ongoing qualified learning.
- The ability to follow Centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- A current, or willingness to obtain, the relevant South Australian Working with Children Check and any other required pre-employment clearances.
For Lead Educator opportunities, we will also look for demonstrated capability in curriculum planning, educational documentation, team collaboration and day-to-day room leadership. Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. However, we encourage applications from Educators at different stages of their careers who can demonstrate the qualifications, professional approach and commitment appropriate to the role.
