As a Senior Accountant in Melbourne, you will manage core accounting activities within the pharmaceuticals space helping maintain explicit and reliable financial information. You will apply sound accounting judgement across the Accounting & Finance function to support day-to-day business decisions.

Description The Senior Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, contributing to the following:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audit requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Drive process improvement and strengthen financial controls across the finance function.
- Assist the FP&A; Manager with budgeting, forecasting,
variance analysis and ad hoc financial modelling to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and reporting support.
Profile
- CA or CPA qualified
- Big 4 or mid-tier professional services experience across Audit or Business Services is highly regarded.
- Proven experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role within a commercial environment.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and the broader business.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
