We're Looking For Someone Who

- Has experience developing and delivering integrated marketing, advertising or communications campaigns.
- Understands the unique requirements of marketing events, including managing competing priorities, stakeholders and time critical delivery.
- Has strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Has experience working with suppliers,

agencies and external partners.
- Can think strategically about audience segmentation, channel selection and campaign delivery while producing high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Thrives in collaborative team environments and is passionate about delivering engaging audience experiences.

The position plays an important role in promoting Canberra's diverse events program, increasing participation and audience engagement, supporting the visibility of the ACT events sector, and contributing to Canberra's reputation as a vibrant year-round events destination. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, veterans, younger and older workers, and people with diverse genders, sexes and sexualities to apply.

Eligibility/Other Requirements

- Current Australian driver’s license
- Ability to work event days and/or nights on occasion, some that are public holidays.

Note: This is a temporary position available from 7 December 2026 to 3 December 2027 with the possibility of permanency.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.

Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.

This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.

Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.

How to Apply: Please submit:

- a current curriculum vitae (maximum three pages); and
- a written response (maximum two pages) outlining how your skills, knowledge and experience align with the Selection Criteria.

Where an offer of employment is for a fixed-term period, any related temporary contracts within the Territory will be issued in compliance with the requirements and applicable exceptions outlined in the Fair Work Act.

The ACT public service is committed to closing the gap, underpinned by the belief that when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have a genuine say in the design and delivery of policies, programs and services that affect them, better life outcomes are achieved.
