We are partnering with a large and established organisation seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You’ll play a key role across financial reporting, month-end, compliance and financial controls, while providing support to the broader finance function.

This is a great opportunity for a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant who enjoys working in a complex environment and can quickly get across established processes, systems and reporting requirements.

The Role

Joining an experienced and collaborative finance team, you’ll take ownership of key financial accounting activities while supporting reporting, compliance and month-end requirements.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable operating at a senior level, can work autonomously and is confident engaging with stakeholders across a large organisation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Prepare and review month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and statutory financial reporting
- Support year-end financial reporting and external audit requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting requirements
- Review financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement




- Provide technical accounting support where required
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting matters
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc reporting and projects

About You

Skills and Experience

- CA or CPA qualification
- Proven experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or experienced
- Financial Accountant within a large or complex organisation
- Strong month-end and financial reporting experience
- Sound understanding of accounting standards and financial controls
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel capability
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to quickly understand established systems and processes
