Snappy Business Consulting (Snappy BC) is a dynamic, rapidly growing small business with a presence in several states. We help business owners take the stress out of numbers, compliance and day-to-day operations by combining smart technology with personalised support, across bookkeeping, BAS, payroll and business advisory services. As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our offering to include HR and recruitment consulting for our predominantly SME client base.

This is a newly created opportunity for a Senior HR Consultant to play a key role in shaping and delivering this expanded service offering. Reporting to our Directors, you’ll work closely with another Senior HR Consultant and the Business Development Manager to build a high-quality, practical HR and recruitment service that genuinely helps our clients reduce risk and improve performance.

About The Role In this hands-on consulting role, you’ll deliver a broad range of HR and recruitment services, with a strong focus on HR compliance and risk management, including:

- HR reviews/audits
- Employment contracts and agreements
- Award coverage, classifications and interpretation
- HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks
- Performance management support
- Advice on employment terminations and Fair Work matters
- Grievance and dispute handling
- Implementation of HR systems and processes
- Recruitment support and delivery

You’ll also contribute to the growth of Snappy BC by helping develop and refine our HR strategy and service offerings, and by supporting business development activities such as networking, meeting prospective clients, contributing to proposals,



and drafting blog articles/newsletters. Finally, you’ll support Directors through development and delivery of a quality internal HR and recruitment function across Snappy BC.

About You

You’re an experienced HR qualified who enjoys variety, autonomy and working directly with business owners. You bring a down-to-earth, practical approach and you’re confident providing clear advice that balances compliance, commercial realities and people outcomes. Ideally, you’ll have:

- Substantial HR knowledge and experience, particularly in compliance/risk
- Experience in a small business consulting environment (highly regarded)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A willingness (and ideally experience) to support business development and commercial outcomes
- Strong reliability and a customer service mindset
- Solid computer literacy (MS Office)
- Driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle

Location & flexibility This role is based in Penrith NSW, with hybrid work available. You’ll need to be willing and able to attend the Penrith office regularly, attend local networking events and also visit clients and prospects as required.
