About the Role:

The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will play an important part in shaping how we build capability across CDC. You'll lead the planning, governance and delivery of key programs through our bespoke CDC Academy, ensuring they are aligned with business priorities and deliver practical, measurable outcomes.

This is broader than delivering training. You'll provide the structure and strategic thinking behind our programs, ensuring they remain aligned with business priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead the planning,



governance and continuous improvement of CDC Academy programs

- Turn business capability needs into practical programs, learning pathways and implementation plans

- Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps and define learning outcomes

- Establish clear reporting, success measures and benefits tracking

- Evaluate program effectiveness and return on investment, using insights to drive improvement

- Partner with external providers and internal teams to deliver effective capability solutions

- Support broader workforce planning, talent and capability priorities

About You: You're an experienced L&D; professional who knows great learning is about more than delivering content. You can look across multiple learning programs and tools, understand what's working and identify where things need to evolve. You bring strong learning foundations, but you're also curious, creative and willing to challenge traditional approaches to build experiences that are practical, engaging and connected to real career development.

You think strategically, focus on outcomes and are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to bring ideas to life.

What you'll bring

- Experience designing and delivering blended, interactive and on-the-job learning programs in a fast-paced, evolving organisation, ideally within a technical or similarly complex environment

- A strong understanding of how to measure the effectiveness and return on investment of learning, supported by strong reporting and analytical skills

- The ability to partner closely with leaders and technical teams, turning business needs into practical learning programs and capability pathways

Essential: Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
