PRG is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join our Technical Services team at our Wiluna Operations.

This is a senior technical role responsible for leading and delivering accurate, compliant and timely mine surveying services across the operation. Working closely with Mining Operations, Engineering, Geology and other Technical Services personnel, you will play a key role in supporting mine planning, production, development, reconciliation and infrastructure activities.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across all surveying activities and be capable of satisfying the requirements for appointment as an Authorised Mine Surveyor (Quarry Operation) under Schedule 26, clause 15.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate mine surveying activities across the operation, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of survey requirements.

- Undertake field surveys, set-outs and pickups supporting mining, drill and blast, infrastructure and rehabilitation activities.

- Establish, maintain and verify survey control networks and spatial data integrity.

- Prepare and maintain statutory mine survey plans, records, maps and technical documentation.

- Undertake and verify survey calculations, including stockpile volumes, cut and fill quantities and production measurements.

- Support end-of-month production reporting, mine reconciliation and operational performance reporting.

- Verify mining and infrastructure works against approved designs and identify any deviations.

- Provide specialist technical advice and guidance to Engineering,



Geology and Mining Operations.

- Utilise surveying technologies including GNSS/GPS, total stations, drones and spatial data collection systems.

- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and support to survey personnel.

- Ensure all surveying activities comply with relevant statutory, safety and environmental requirements.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Significant practical experience in mine surveying, particularly within open pit mining operations.

- Robust technical knowledge of mine surveying principles, control systems and spatial data management.

- Demonstrated ability to independently manage survey requirements within an operational mining environment.

- Strong working knowledge of mine survey and spatial software, including CAD and relevant survey applications.

- Experience with statutory mine plans and regulatory reporting requirements.

- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to survey accuracy and data integrity.

- Experience supporting production reconciliation and reporting.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple operational disciplines.





- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to less experienced survey personnel.

Desirable:

- Experience within iron ore or similar open pit mining operations.

- Experience with drone and aerial survey technology.

- Experience with fixed plant, crushing and screening or mining infrastructure projects.

- Previous experience supervising, mentoring or developing survey personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Current Australian Driver's Licence.

- Current LGIRS Authorised Mine Surveyor's Certificate – Grade 1 or Grade 2, satisfying the requirements for appointment as an Authorised Mine Surveyor (Quarry Operation) under Schedule 26, clause 15.

- Ability to satisfy site medical and drug and alcohol requirements.

- Ability to work on a FIFO roster.

Desirable:

- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Surveying.

- Certificate IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying, Mine Surveying or Spatial Sciences.

- Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).

- Current First Aid Certificate.
