TSS is recruiting a Senior Geologist to join Yilgarn Iron's operating iron ore mine at Parker Range, Western Australia.
Working an 8:6 BIBO (Bus In, Bus Out) roster, you'll take a hands-on role in mine geology, supporting daily production, ore identification, grade control and geological interpretation.
This is an opportunity to join an established iron ore operation where geological accuracy, ore quality and practical decision-making directly influence mining performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day grade control and ore delineation activities.
- Oversee geological mapping, sampling, logging and data interpretation.
- Work closely with mining engineers and production teams to optimise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
- Maintain geological models, ore boundaries and production reconciliation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site geological personnel.
- Contribute to short-term mine planning and production decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in open pit production geology, ideally iron ore.
- Solid grade control, geological modelling and reconciliation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and engage with operational teams.
- Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards.
