QA Analyst

Role Primary Purpose

Provide independent quality assurance and testing support for the Customer Experience Reimagined (CxR) Project, including Salesforce, Customer request management, integrations, data migration and supporting business processes.

Plan and execute structured testing, identify and manage defects, validate business requirements and provide explicit evidence and recommendations to support deployment readiness and a low-risk go-live.

Principal Accountabilities

Test Planning and preparation

- Review business requirements, user stories, functional specifications and supporting process documentation to confirm testability and coverage.
- Develop, maintain and implement the Project Test Plan, including the testing approach, scope, entry criteria and exit criteria.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test scripts, test data requirements and traceability records.
- Establish testing schedules and resource requirements in consultation with the project team, internal business stakeholders, Subject Matter experts and the Vendor.
- Participate in test planning, test readiness and deployment readiness workshops.

Test execution

- Execute functional, system, integration and regression testing.
- Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing material, coordinating testing activities, assisting Subject Matter experts and Project team.
- Retest resolved defects and verify that fixes do not introduce regression issues.
- Validate delivered functionality against approved business requirements and agreed acceptance criteria.

Defect management

- Log, classify, track and manage defects through to resolution, with explicit supporting evidence and reproducible steps.
- Validate defect fixes and maintain accurate defect status information.
- Work with the project team, business representatives and vendor to prioritise defects and support timely resolution.
- Escalate critical defects, testing constraints and quality risks through the agreed project governance channels.





Reporting and governance

- Provide weekly testing status reports covering progress, test execution results, defects, risks, issues and planned activities.
- Maintain test execution metrics, defect summaries, test evidence and testing documentation.
- Prepare go-live readiness assessments, test completion reports and evidence-based sign-off recommendations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, documentation and traceability across the project.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated experience planning and executing testing for complex digital, CRM or Enterprise system, Technology project implementations.
- Practical experience in functional, system, integration and regression testing.
- Demonstrated ability to develop test plans, scenarios, cases, scripts and test evidence from business and functional requirements.
- Experience using structured defect management processes, including defect logging, prioritisation, retesting and closure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies and quality risks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including concise status reporting and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver within defined project timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience supporting User Acceptance Testing.
- Ability to maintain accurate, auditable and traceable testing records.

Desirable Requirements

- Relevant qualification or certification in software testing, Information Technology, Business Analysis or a related discipline.
- Experience testing Salesforce or another Customer Relationship Management platform.
- Experience testing system integrations, data migration and customer request management processes.
- Experience working in local government or another complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, risk-based testing and go-live readiness assessment.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
