The Role

SAMI is seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor to lead and coordinate our manufacturing and importing operations in Kwinana. This is a practical, operational leadership role where you will work closely with plant operators, technical teams and management to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality production.

As Shift Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of plant operations, ensuring production requirements are achieved safely, efficiently and in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. You will provide hands-on leadership to Plant Operators while coordinating labour, production, maintenance, shipping activities and operational priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing and importing activities.
- Lead and support Plant Operators to achieve safe and efficient operations.
- Plan labour, production volumes and operational activities to meet business requirements.
- Ensure products are manufactured to required specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate production, maintenance and shipping activities.
- Prepare daily and weekly work programs based on operational requirements.
- Ensure production equipment, tools and plant requirements are maintained and available.
- Monitor operating hours and support preventative maintenance planning.
- Ensure daily worksheets, timesheets, checklists and operational records are completed accurately.
- Identify training requirements and support the ongoing development of employees.
- Coordinate inductions for employees and contractors.
- Work closely with laboratory,



technical and operational teams to maintain product quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve production methods, processes and overall plant efficiency.
- Ensure operations comply with relevant company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

About You We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and comfortable taking ownership of a busy operational environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a light industrial operation, civil road construction or bitumen industry.
- Strong understanding of safe plant and production operations.
- Experience coordinating labour, production and maintenance activities.
- A hands-on leadership style and the ability to communicate effectively with operational teams.
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Confidence working across production, maintenance and technical functions.
- Experience completing operational documentation, timesheets, checklists and production records.
