At Emeco, availability is everything - As Australia’s largest mining equipment rental provider there is no better place to add value in Planning than right here! Every hour a machine is down costs our clients production. As our Short Term Planner – Minors, you’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.

You’ll build the rolling maintenance plan for your site. That means lining up the labour, parts, service kits and tooling so our crews can do the work properly the first time.

What you’ll own

- The plan: preventative maintenance, statutory compliance and condition monitoring work, all scheduled in AMT (our CMMS)
- Keep defects prioritised, under control & from ageing
- Chair the weekly planning meeting and the daily 24/48-hour review, and get Superintendents and PMs to sign off on the plan and commit to it
- Match the workload to the labour you have, and calling it early when you need more people or third parties
- Breakdowns: working with the Execution team to get the right components and refit parts on hand and make good use of every downtime event
- Close out work orders cleanly and reporting early failures and warranty claims to the Central Asset team

What you bring

- A mechanical trade (HME) background.



A planning or management degree is a bonus.
- Hands-on experience with CAT, Hitachi and/or Komatsu earthmoving equipment
- Proven experience in maintenance scheduling or planning
- Strong skills in a CMMS (AMT ideal) & MS Office
- The confidence to negotiate with site leaders and hold the line on the plan
- A good eye for detail, a commercial head, and a safety-first mindset that never switches off
- A current driver’s licence
