Dynatrace Observability SME

Enterprise Observability | Dynatrace | AIOps | Cloud | SRE

We are seeking an experienced Dynatrace Observability SME to lead enterprise-scale observability initiatives across complex application, infrastructure and cloud environments. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a Dynatrace specialist who can combine deep technical capability with strategic leadership. You will help shape the observability roadmap, drive platform adoption and enable engineering and operations teams to move towards proactive, AI-driven monitoring.

The Role

You will take ownership of the Dynatrace observability capability, working across engineering, SRE, DevOps and operations teams to improve platform visibility, service reliability and incident response.

Key responsibilities include:

- Define and drive the enterprise observability strategy and maturity roadmap
- Lead Dynatrace implementation, optimisation and governance across large-scale environments
- Configure and enhance APM, infrastructure monitoring, RUM, Synthetic Monitoring and log analytics
- Leverage Davis AI for anomaly detection, root cause analysis and proactive monitoring
- Design scalable Dynatrace architectures using OneAgent, ActiveGate, Smartscape and PurePath
- Establish SLIs, SLOs and error budgets aligned to critical business services
- Improve alerting, reduce monitoring noise and support faster MTTR
- Integrate Dynatrace with ServiceNow, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
- Enable automation, self-healing and event-driven operational workflows
- Promote observability-as-code using APIs, Terraform and OpenTelemetry




- Embed observability practices throughout DevOps and SRE delivery lifecycles

About You You will bring strong hands-on Dynatrace expertise combined with experience delivering enterprise observability solutions.

Ideally, you will have:

- 10+ years' experience across monitoring, observability, SRE or related disciplines
- 3–5+ years' hands-on Dynatrace experience
- Strong expertise across Dynatrace APM, Infrastructure Monitoring, RUM, Synthetic Monitoring and Logs
- Deep knowledge of OneAgent, Smartscape, PurePath and Davis AI
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale Dynatrace implementations or migrations
- Strong exposure to AWS, Azure and/or GCP
- Experience monitoring Kubernetes, microservices and distributed environments
- Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces and OpenTelemetry
- Experience integrating monitoring platforms with ServiceNow and DevOps tooling
- Knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem and Change Management
- Solid troubleshooting, debugging and analytical skills
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments

Dynatrace certification, such as Dynatrace Associate, will be highly regarded. Why Apply?
