About the role

Build meaningful connections, support recovery and make a lasting difference in the lives of people experiencing mental illness across Western NSW.

An opportunity exists for a Social Worker to join a dedicated multidisciplinary Mental Health team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This rewarding role plays a vital part in supporting individuals living with mental illness or mental health disorders, helping them achieve recovery goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

Working collaboratively with consumers, carers and other healthcare providers, the Social Worker provides comprehensive assessment, care coordination and evidence-based interventions using an integrated and recovery-focused approach. The role offers a diverse caseload and the opportunity to deliver services both virtually and face-to-face within community settings, ensuring accessible and responsive care for those who need it most.

As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, the Social Worker works alongside Mental Health Nurses, other Social Workers, a Psychiatrist, Peer Worker and Team Leader to deliver coordinated, holistic care. The position also involves close collaboration with Mental Health Drug and Alcohol clinicians and a range of non-government organisations, fostering strong partnerships that enhance outcomes for consumers and their families.

This role is well suited to a motivated and compassionate clinician who thrives in a cooperative environment and is passionate about supporting recovery and promoting positive mental health outcomes. Strong communication, assessment and relationship-building skills will be highly valued, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a agile multidisciplinary team.

Working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, this position offers an excellent work-life balance alongside rewarding clinical practice.

If you're looking for a role that combines clinical challenge, strong team support and the opportunity to help people achieve meaningful recovery, apply now and join a team making a real difference every day.
