What you'll be doing
Depending on your project experience, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out industrial and commercial electrical installation works.
- Installing electrical systems and associated infrastructure.
- Undertaking cable installation, pulling and termination.
- Working with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems where appropriately qualified.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and plans.
- Following electrical standards, site procedures and safety requirements.
- Working closely with supervisors, project teams and other trades.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and project quality.
What we're looking for To be considered, you'll need:
- A current Tasmanian A-Grade Electrical Practitioners Licence.
- Experience in industrial or commercial construction electrical works.
- A current WHS White Card.
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Good knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and electrical installation practices.
- The ability to work scheduled project hours, including overtime.
- Solid communication skills and a practical, team-focused attitude.
- The ability to complete site inductions and obtain required security clearances, including a police check.
Experience that will set you apart
We'll be particularly interested if you have experience in:
- HV reticulation.
- Cable installation and termination.
- Electrical testing and commissioning.
- Industrial construction and infrastructure projects.
Additional tickets in First Aid, CPR, LV Rescue, Working at Heights, EWP, Confined Space or Asbestos Awareness will be highly regarded.
