Adventure Support is a disability support provider for people who think a good day involves fresh air, a few laughs and maybe a questionable amount of mini golf. Through Weekend Warriors, the Friday Growth Program and the Teens Growth Program, participants build confidence, friendships and independence by getting out there and doing stuff. We're bringing the adventure to the Southside, and we need a crew with serious energy to launch it.
Key responsibilities
Southside Program Lead
- Be available for all Southside program shifts as the senior support on shift
- Kick off each day with a team briefing and lead it start to finish
- Make new participants feel like they've been part of the crew forever
- Guide and back up Program Support Workers on the floor
- Bring your best ideas to a weekly catch-up and help programs evolve
- Handle curveballs calmly and keep notes and reports on track
Program Support Workers:
- Support participants on group outings
- Cheer people on and get stuck in
- Make sure everyone feels included
About you
Southside Program Lead
- Have led a shift, been a senior support worker or held a leadership role
- Weekend availability, including Saturdays
Program Support Workers:
- Have experience as a disability support worker (must-have)
- Have worked in group programs or community access (big bonus points)
- Turn up when you say you will, and bring positive vibes when you do
- Weekend availability, including Saturdays
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Disability (preferred)
