Are you an educator looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a culturally rich community? This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience while working in remote education.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Special Education/Intervention Teacher to work across the school, providing targeted learning support and intervention for students with additional learning needs. Working alongside classroom teachers, you will help identify individual learning needs, develop appropriate strategies and provide targeted support to help students progress. This position does not have responsibility for a regular classroom.

The school has a strong focus on bilingual education, incorporating local language, culture and Indigenous perspectives alongside the Australian Curriculum. Learning reflects students' cultural backgrounds and experiences, with an emphasis on practical, engaging and culturally responsive teaching.

Established whole-school systems and consistent practices help teachers develop students' classroom routines and support learning. Graduate teachers are welcome to apply and will receive dedicated mentoring and guidance. Additional resources and experienced staff are also available to help teachers develop their understanding of bilingual education, culturally responsive teaching and effective behaviour management strategies.

The school works closely with families, community members and local organisations to provide meaningful learning opportunities, including on-Country experiences.

The position is available full-time for 2027, with a solid possibility of extension.



There is also a primary teacher position available, working with students from Transition (Prep) to Year 3.

What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration, or eligibility for registration, with TRBNT.
- Valid NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain.
- Experience or an interest in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Understanding of inclusive education and individual learning support strategies.
- Ability to develop and deliver targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
- Robust communication and collaboration skills to work alongside classroom teachers.
- Ability to assess student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Understanding of culturally responsive teaching, or a willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills and a genuine commitment to improving student outcomes.
