About Us

Melton Entertainment Park (MEP) is an entertainment, community and sporting hub with a range of facilities that includes, 260 seat Bistro, extensive Conference and Events spaces, a 40 room 4 Star Mantra Hotel, Sports Bar, Gaming lounge and a state-of-the-art Harness Racing track. The venue operates 7 days a week.

The venue is operated by Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) with a related entity, HRV Management Limited (HML), trading as Melton Entertainment Park.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Customer Service Management

- Demonstrate MEP Customer Service Standards
- Monitor level of customer service and in conjunction with senior management, recommend and implement training as required
- Assist other departments and team members where practical
- Available to make decisions regarding guest concerns and take responsibility for resolving problems
- Maintain a clean and compliant work environment

Operations

- Understanding and compliance with RSA/LCV TAB, Betcare & VGCCC Regulations
- Adhere to all MEP values, policies and procedures, OH&S;, food and hygiene standards, professional venue presentation & cash control etc.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in work processes and procedures and implement changes in workplace practices
- Actively promote MEP facilities and contribute to the development of new promotional activities for the Sports Bar to maximise revenues
- Manage self to optimum level attending training courses that fulfil development plan

Financial Management & Cash Control





- Accurate reconciliations of Tills & TAB reconciliation. Identify errors & variances and take appropriate action via DM’s
- Adhere to MEP cash handling policy

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Qualifications

- RSA
- TAB Basics
- RSG & Gaming Licence (optional)
- Food Handlers Certificate
- First Aid & CPR (optional)
- Police check required on employment

Skills & Knowledge

- Demonstrated organisation, time management and prioritising skills
- Ability to follow instructions, work and make decisions under pressure
- Ability to stay calm in an emergency or high-pressure situation
- Advanced customer service skills and ability to use discretion to solve customer issues
- Ability to cope with the rigours of shift work including weekends and nights
- Previous experience in a multi-faceted hospitality venue including TAB, Bar and F&B;
- Understanding of regulatory compliance including Liquor control Victoria, TAB, and VGCCC.
- You may at times be required to work at other tasks and areas as directed by the Operation Manager or General Manager.

AVAILABILITY Must be available to work a rotating roster including days, nights, weekends and all major events.
