The Role

As our Counter Sales & Store Person, you will be the first point of contact for trade and retail customers while keeping the warehouse running smoothly behind the scenes. No two days are the same, with a healthy mix of customer service and practical warehouse work. Your day will include serving trade and walk in customers at the counter and helping them find the right product for the job.

You will answer the phones, take phone sales and orders, and process cash and EFTPOS payments. Behind the counter, you will pick, pack and process customer orders accurately and on time, receive and put away incoming stock, and keep the store clean and well organised.

About You

You will have a friendly, customer focused attitude and valuable communication skills, both face to face and on the phone. You are comfortable using computers and picking up new systems, you are organised with a good eye for detail, and you are a reliable team player who takes pride in your work. Most importantly, you are keen to learn.

Knowledge of fasteners, hardware or building products is a bonus but not essential, and a forklift license would be an advantage.
