The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with approximately 5–15 years of consultancy experience to join our growing team. This is a hands-on engineering position offering a diverse range of projects, direct client involvement and the opportunity to take ownership of structural designs from concept through to construction.

Depending on your experience and capabilities, you'll have the opportunity to independently manage projects, develop client relationships and contribute to the technical development of the team.

You'll work closely with our experienced engineers and structural draftspersons, allowing you to focus on delivering efficient, practical and well-considered engineering solutions.

We're looking for someone who enjoys engineering, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team where their contribution genuinely matters.

What You'll Be Doing

- Undertaking structural analysis and design across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
- Designing steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures in accordance with Australian Standards.
- Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, reports and design documentation.
- Managing projects from initial design through to construction, appropriate to your experience.
- Working directly with architects,



builders and clients to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Coordinating with our drafting team to produce accurate and effective construction documentation.
- Undertaking site inspections and resolving construction-related engineering queries.
- Contributing to technical discussions, design improvements and mentoring opportunities within the team.

About You

We're looking for a capable, motivated and practical Structural Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working collaboratively and delivering quality engineering outcomes. Ideally, you'll have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Approximately 5–15 years' experience in a structural engineering consultancy, preferably within Australia.
- Robust understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and structural design principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing steel, concrete, timber and masonry structures.
- Proficiency in structural engineering analysis and design software, such as Inducta or equivalent programs.
- The ability to coordinate structural documentation and manage engineering tasks efficiently.
- Confidence communicating with architects, builders, clients and other consultants.
- Strong technical judgement, attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
