About this role:
Direct Focus Solutions (DFS) is looking to employ a casual worker, such as a student, to help us deliver disability and community support work services to NDIS participants residing within Sydney’s eastern suburbs. This is a great entry-level position and excellent opportunity to gain disability sector experience - ideal for students studying community services, allied health, or a related discipline.
We aim to accommodate for your own work and study schedule, so that you can assist our clients at a pace that works for you.
This role will involve providing in-home supports, as well as facilitating access to the community. You will work closely with your support work program manager, colleagues, and members of our multidisciplinary clinical team to help support our clients.

Requirements:
- A driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle prior to employment.
- The ability to reliably commute to, and work within, eastern Sydney.
- Studying, or have completed, qualifications in Personal Care, Disability, Community Services, allied health, or a similar discipline.
- Willingness to obtain first aid and CPR certification.
- Interest in working with NDIS participants and their programs.
- Computer literacy to interact successfully with our client management system.
- Facilitate supports for clients of all ages and abilities.
- Be flexible in accordance with the specific needs of our clients.
- Collaborate as part of a team and work with a diverse range of clients.
DFS is prepared to support individuals to obtain the following checks as a further condition of their employment:
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker’s Check (NDISWC)
- Police Check
